The hilarious and spirited Broadway smash comes to Oklahoma in a brand new adaptation from the Lyric Theatre. Delve into the world of the fabulous 1920s musical through the imagination of the Man in the Chair, an agoraphobic Broadway enthusiast who loves nothing more than listening to his rare pressing of the Drowsy Chaperone, letting the music, and more, transport him away.

Featuring hits such as 'As We Stumble Along', 'Fancy Dress' and 'Show Off' this 'comedy within in a musical' starts with the impending nuptials of Broadway star Janet Van De Graaff to oil Tycoon Robert, which is great news to all but musical impresario Feldzieg, who won't let her give up her career that easily! Que a whole load of shenanigans and mishaps with gangsters, showgirls and of course, one very drowsy chaperone!
