I WAS EMBARRASSED FOR THE ACTORS

Horrible doesn’t begin to describe it. Have been life long theatre-goer ans Shea’s subscriber . Worst show I’ve ever seen. People were leaving BEFORE intermission. Pay someone to take your tickets.

EXTREMELY STRIPPED DOWN AND BORING

What was the director thinking? Almost no choreography or costumes, no set changes. A high school play would have been more entertaining. I feel sorry for the talented actors and singers who had to be a part of this. Looks like a read-through rehearsal, not a finished professional production. My wife fell asleep. Within half an hour a steady stream of bored people started streaming out of the theater. This was essentially a fraud, a production with almost zero budget. How can they get away with unloading this on the public. I was so extremely bored that I had to leave during intermission. NOT ENTERTAINING.

WORST PLAY IN YEARS

Well hold on to your seats!! If your even thinking this will be a fun or in anyway uplifting play you are going to be very disappointed!! My wife and I love to be surprised by interesting changes to a classic play but this was not only Dark but just confussing and it left us with the feeling that we want to go home and kill ourselves. The beautiful musical dance numbers in the original play that have been lost are just sad. Overall I hope someone else enjoys this version but were going to watch the original tonight to try to bring back some good and happy feelings.

SKIP THE SHOW AND GO FOR DINNER

Nothing like the movie. Very disappointed with the production. Would not recommend to anyone.

OKLAHOMA - A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

We attended Oklahoma on Sunday afternoon and it is by far the worst production I have ever seen at Shea's. First, it was very dark, which is NOT the Rodgers and Hammerstein version of Oklahoma I had expected. After spending a lot of money on tickets and expecting an uplifting musical, we were very disappointed with the dark version presented to us. It was clearly fraudulent of Shae's to advertise this as Rodgers and Hammerstein Oklahoma. In addition to this, the actors and actresses were not prepared, at least two times there was complete silence on the stage, as people forgot lines or lines weren't said when they were suppose to be. The singers voices sounded forced and at points where not on key. And if that weren't enough to make you wonder why you would spend so much money on a ticket, we observed a crew member walk right on stage in the middle and pick up a bowl of milk. This person did not try to disguise himself. It was so unprofessional. I felt like I was watching a high school musical, not a professional production. We left at intermission as did many people we talked to. I did not speak with one person who thought the show was good. It is unfortunate and makes me question coming to Shea's again.

JUST TERRIBLE

I have never walked out of a show no matter how disappointed I might have been but last night I couldn't have ran any faster to get out of that horrendous show. I have seen the movie so not like I didn't know the story.

DISAPPOINTING

I honestly can’t find a good word to say about this remake. Just write a new musical, please. This shouldn’t be linked with the original on any level. It was a complete waste of time.
