Had extremely high hopes for this production however as soon as the curtain went up I knew I was in very a huge disappointment. This show as an insult to all the senses. If this is the type of productions we can expect from Sheas in the future. I will be canceling my season tickets. I have been a season ticket holder for 15 years and this was by far the worst production they have brought to the stage. Sheas you need to do better. For shame.

MOST AWFUL PERFORMANCE I HAVE EVER SEEN
I went expecting to see a colorful first class musical at a first class theatre and instead saw a watered down high school production. We along with many others walked out at intermission. Don’t waste your money

WHAT ON EARTH!
This was the strangest play I've ever seen!! It claims to be modern, but everything about it was inconsistent. Some of the actors had modern clothing, but some where wearing clothes like the original movie. They only changes outfits once. They came out in the second half wearing big fluffy dresses cut to the knee, yet again somewhat like olden day dresses, but not really. The script was straight from the movie which was olden version dialogue. The actors acted pretty well and sung on key, but they were so quiet that you could barely hear them! The people talking in the lobby were louder than the actors. There was no set changes, and there were wierd lighting usage, or at times you were sitting fully in the dark because they couldnt bother to change the set so you had to apparently use you imagination to figure whT was going on. Luckily, I remembered the movie so I had atleast a clue. There was a moment in the dark where Jud was trying to kiss Laurie, but it just sounded like he was eating the microphone. Then at the 2nd half a lady came on dancing supposedly to act out the dream sequence, but she just did a lot of twitching and scooting across the stage. I was embarrassed for her!! This play was so entertaining in the way that Spaceballs is, so bad that you can only laugh at it.

SHOCKINGLY HORRIBLE
Clearly only using the name Oklahoma! to sell tickets. We expected quality at Fox, but instead watched a rough high school play rehearsal. Stage set looks like a picnic table cafeteria with the only notable change ever being when the garland lowers. “Wardrobe” looked like actors were given $20 to go to Goodwill to find something “western” or a hoodie. Poor audio on actors. Meh singing. Overkill on laughing scenes, drawn-out pauses, completely blacked-out stage with bizarre imag video, including dialogue cajoling Judd to kill himself. So awful, we were ready to leave. 2nd act started with insane modern dance that had me laughing so hard I had to use my inhaler while muffling myself to not shriek out loud: galloping around the stage, frenetically swinging arms about like a 3 yr old trying to get out of a sweater, then scooting across the stage like a dog rubbing its behind was just too much. A slap in the face if you were expecting, you know, Oklahoma! Not worth your $, nor the cold walk

SAVE YOUR MONEY, STAY HOME
Uuugh. The best thing about seeing Oklahoma last night was when it ended. We got to leave! Scant, maybe 400 people in the theatre had to endure the darkness and boredom of this “new” Oklahoma. The play dragged on, actors were hard to hear, dream dance was alien and ending…..just plain wrong. Cast of characters was wrongly portrayed and hurt the brain as you watched. As a Broadway reviewer said, this should immediately be pulled off stage by Rogers and Hammerstein.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
When I saw the stage set up (a bunch of picnic tables and barely anything else) I surely thought this would be changed in the next scene. It had the feel of something cheap and lacked the grandeur one would expect for a Broadway show. From the start, this show fell short and could not keep my attention. This continued until the short film (what was that) which felt inappropriate and dark. Honestly, I’ve seen better high school performances. There were 5 women in our group and at intermission, we had enough and left. We were not the only ones. There were so many empty seats when the show began (full rows) which was very telling. How can they bill this as a broadway show? Shame on the producers. This was such a disappointment for a R&H production. Please don’t waste your time or your money. Go to the movies instead.
