This year the Nutcracker will be shortened to just one act. This way you'll be able to enjoy this Holiday classic without and intermission. This is being done to protect patrons and reduce risk of the virus.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Oklahoma City Philharmonic help the many dancers and colorful characters, including dancing snowflakes and fairies, bring this magical story to life. The story centers around adolescent Clara, whose wealthy parents are holding a lavish Christmas Eve party at their townhouse. When gifted with a beautiful handcrafted nutcracker doll, Clara is delighted - up until her boisterous younger brother manages to break its jaw.
Upset, Clara tries to fix the doll, and falls asleep under the family Christmas tree once all the guests have departed. When she awakes at midnight, she is alone, and somehow the tree has grown to a staggering height. To her surprise, the doll is gone, and she is ambushed by a troupe of unruly life-sized mice who attempt to take over the house.
Out of nowhere, a handsome prince who bears a striking resemblance to her doll appears with his own cadre of soldiers - tin soldiers. With Clara's help, the now life-sized Nutcracker manages to defeat the nefarious Mouse King, and sends them all packing. Grateful for her help, he extends an invitation to join him on a journey to the mythical Land of Sweets, where the Sugar Plum Fairy reigns supreme.
Upon their arrival they are surrounded by life-sized sweet treats, angels and fairies, and of course, the Fairy herself. At her command, a celebration of dance is put on for the traveling duo, which takes them on a visual journey to all four corners of the world.
