Why See Freaky Friday?

The Movies Brought to Life

The latest musical from Disney, Freaky Friday is based on the classic novel by Mary Rodgers, which has been twice adapted for the screen, starring Jodie Foster and then Lindsay Lohan. A frothy, family-friendly show, the story follows a mother and daughter who are forced to put their differences behind them when they magically swap bodies. For the first time, they can see the world through each other's eyes, and discover it's not how they imagined. Now, they have to find a way to swap back!

Originally premiering in Arlington in 2016, Freaky Friday has a very starry creative team behind it, including Pulitzer Prize winners Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey (Next to Normal), who wrote the score.
